**Budaun: Ministry of Home Affairs Orders High-Level Probe into Fake Birth Certificate Scam**

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has initiated a high-level investigation into a widespread scam involving the creation of fake birth certificates across multiple village Panchayats and hospitals in Budaun. Upon receiving specific data, the MHA contacted the District Magistrate (DM), triggering immediate administrative action and public uproar.

**Hackers Exploit Genuine IDs**

Reports indicate that the fraud was orchestrated by hackers who created clone IDs of genuine user accounts. In response, the MHA has directed the DM to conduct a thorough investigation, register cases against the culprits, and cancel all fraudulent certificates without delay.

**Committees Formed to Investigate the Scam**

Following the MHA’s directive, the District Magistrate has established a dedicated committee to probe the matter comprehensively. Additionally, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr. Rameshwar Mishra has formed a two-member committee aimed at expediting the investigation and submitting a prompt report.

**Targeted Areas and User IDs**

The MHA’s letter specifically highlights cases from Phulasi and Usawan (Ujhani), Senjani (Datiyanj), and Islam Nagar CHC as focal points of the investigation. The directive also mandates a review of all 1,425 user IDs to identify those cloned by hackers, emphasizing the large-scale nature and seriousness of the scam.

Authorities have vowed swift action to ensure accountability and prevent such fraudulent activities in the future. Further updates are awaited as the investigation progresses.
