**Torrential Rains Batter Beed and Dharashiv Districts in Maharashtra, Prompting Major Rescue Operations**

Beed and Dharashiv districts in Maharashtra have been severely affected by torrential rainfall since Monday night, resulting in submerged farmlands and extensive crop damage. Farmers have also reported significant livestock losses due to the ongoing adverse weather conditions.

In response to the situation, authorities have declared a holiday for schools in both Beed and Dharashiv districts. Neighboring districts Solapur and Pune are also experiencing heavy rainfall, leading to rescue operations being initiated at multiple locations to ensure public safety.

### Flood-Like Conditions in Dharashiv

Dharashiv has faced continuous downpours over the past two days. On the night of September 21, heavy rains triggered flood-like conditions in the Paranda and Bhoom talukas. Many residents were left stranded, prompting the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to swiftly intervene.

The NDRF teams rushed to affected areas to relocate people to safer locations. While many families have been evacuated successfully, some remain trapped in floodwaters, highlighting the critical nature of the situation.

### NDRF Deployments and Rescue Efforts

Following urgent requests from the local administration, NDRF teams have been deployed in Beed, Dharashiv, and Solapur districts under the supervision of Unit Commandant Santosh Bahadur Singh. The personnel have been working tirelessly through the night to carry out essential rescue and relief operations.

In Beed’s Sadas Chinchole area of Majalgaon tehsil, the NDRF conducted overnight rescue missions to evacuate residents trapped by rising waters. Remarkably, by morning, a newborn and a woman had been safely rescued. So far, 39 people have been evacuated from various affected areas across the district.

Meanwhile, in Dharashiv, severe flooding trapped residents inside their homes in Kapilapuri village. Despite difficult conditions, NDRF teams worked throughout the night and successfully rescued 182 people.

The situation in Solapur district remains critical as well. NDRF personnel have worked non-stop to rescue 82 citizens and have assisted in relocating domestic animals to safer locations.

Additionally, Ahilyanagar district has faced similar challenges. NDRF teams started evening rescue operations here, evacuating 17 people in Karjat tehsil.

### Local Administration Praises NDRF Response

The timely deployment and swift actions of the NDRF teams have been widely praised by local administrations and affected residents. Their efforts are credited with preventing major casualties amid the severe flooding.

The safe evacuation of a newborn and mother in Beed has been hailed as a symbol of hope amid despair, bringing much-needed relief to villagers and officials alike during these challenging times.

Residents are advised to stay alert and follow instructions from local authorities as rainfall and flood threats continue in these regions. The situation remains fluid, and rescue teams remain on high alert to respond promptly to emergencies.
