THIS Is Actor Lekha Prajapati’s Favourite Food; It’s Something Her Father Cooks For Her

A Sight to Behold in Red: Lekha Prajapti as an Assamese Bride at GICW

Lekha Prajapti was truly a sight to behold in red as she graced the Global India Couture Week (GICW) runway, dolled up as an Assamese bride for designer Gayatri Jagdish Lal. Reflecting on her experience as a showstopper, Lekha shared, “The only thing on my mind when I stepped on the ramp was that I shouldn’t trip because I have a long trail behind me.”

“All I wanted to do was to be true to myself and to be able to represent Northeast in the best capacity. When I walked the ramp for the very first time, I remember telling myself to walk straight, be confident, and face the camera with poise.”

This was not Lekha’s first time walking the GICW runway. In 2024, she sashayed down the ramp dressed as a Punjabi bride, and in 2025, she proudly represented the Northeast region. Looking ahead, she excitedly shared, “Next time, I’m looking forward to being a South Indian bride,” accompanied by a light-hearted laugh.

A Taste of Home and Fond Memories

Hailing from Jaipur, Lekha fondly recalls the delicious local cuisine she enjoys. “Dal Bati Churma is my utmost favourite. I still enjoy having ghee in my dal or with my chapatis. I love ghee.” When away from family, she often craves the comforting taste of home-cooked meals, especially the Dal Bati Churma made by her father. “Not my mom, but my dad makes the best Dal Bati Churma in the world,” she proudly reveals.

Beyond her acting career, Lekha is also a trained dancer who enjoys working out and keeping her body active. Yet, when she’s not shooting, she candidly admits that her favourite pastime is simply catching up on sleep.

Celebrating Festivals and Fashion

Lekha cherishes her memories of Navratri, especially watching people dressed in vibrant, colourful clothes over the nine days of celebration. “I’m not from Mumbai, and Durga Puja is a new experience for me. Since I have shifted to Mumbai, I visit the Puja pandals and have the bhog—it’s a lovely experience.”

When it comes to festive attire, Lekha’s favourite outfit is a ghagra-choli. “I like lehengas as well. When I twirl, I want my outfit to move with me,” she explains. Her dream bridal outfit is something in red. “Since I am a Rajasthani, a lehenga would do justice,” she adds.

On casual days, Lekha prefers keeping things comfortable, often opting for a T-shirt and shorts.

Festive Season Advice from Lekha Prajapti

To her fans during the festive season, Lekha offers simple but heartfelt advice: “We all know what happened during Covid. Life is very short, so learn to be happy. Keep your friends and family close.”

Lekha Prajapti continues to shine both on and off the ramp, bringing grace, authenticity, and cultural pride to every step she takes.
