Flowers...

Flowers emit a strength . . .
Wondrous, tho gentle, sweet.
So fragile in flesh, to touch, we fear.
Essences of aroma to the senses,
A feast for the mind, eye, even the ear . . .

For a thought,
A kind word, a small deed
Is like a flower
To one in need.

Lofty a gift as they might seem,
Never forget the pungent odor
Of the Earth that bore them
By simply bursting a seed.

Of that same Earth we, too, roam.
Just one small part of many things.
The flowers remind us, simply,
Of the beauty of home.
